    IQALUIT, Nunavut - A new premier has been chosen in Nunavut to take over from Paul Quassa who lost his job earlier today in a non-confidence vote.
    Joe Savikataaq, the deputy premier in Quassa's cabinet, promised he'd do his best to work with his colleagues.
    Under Nunavut's consensus government, the premier and cabinet are chosen in a secret ballot by all elected members.
    Three legislature members had put their name forward as being interested in the job and were questioned by their colleagues.
    The vote to remove Quassa, who was criticized for his leadership style, was decisive.

    The premier of Nunavut, leader of the northern territory's unusual consensus government, has been ejected from office by a wide majority of his colleagues, including almost all of his own cabinet members.
