    Rolls-Royce aims to have a working reactor ready to go to the Moon by 2029
    The British government has commissioned Rolls-Royce to develop a nuclear reactor that could one day power a lunar base as part of a US-led mission to house humans on the moon. However the project has thus far been plagued by delays and cost overruns.
    The UK Space Agency announced on Friday that it has awarded £2.9 million to Rolls-Royce to build a prototype reactor. The British engineering firm plans on having a working reactor ready to send to the Moon by 2029.
