    Though he said discussions continue, state Senate Republican Majority Leader John Flanagan said after leaving the governor's office on Tuesday afternoon that the Senate will not take up the Child Victims Act legislation. That bill, which would extend the time during which young victims of sexual abuse could bring a case against their abuser, has passed the Assembly and has the support of the governor.
