    A former UFC bantamweight champion, Dillashaw defeated Cory Sandhagen by split decision .
    The bantamweight bout was the UFC on ESPN 27 main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It aired on ESPN and streamed on ESPN+.

    T.J. Dillashaw returned to the octagon in successful fashion on Saturday when he beat Cory Sandhagen in the UFC on ESPN 27 main event.
    After more than two years away due to a USADA suspension, former champ Dillashaw put himself right back at the top of the bantamweight division with a split decision victory over Sandhagen at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
    Dillashaw is now unbeaten in his past six fights at 135 pounds, and the win puts him in line to challenge the winner of Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan for the title.
