    PARIS - French President Emmanuel Macron's plan for a law against false information around election campaigns is drawing criticism from media advocates, tech experts and others.
    They say it's impossible to enforce and smacks of methods used by authoritarians, not democracies.
    But they acknowledge that manipulation of media is a growing problem, especially during elections.
    In a new year's speech to journalists, Macron said he's ordering a new "legal arsenal" that would oblige news sites to reveal who owns them and where their money comes from.
