    WASHINGTON - Saudi Arabia today officially acknowledged the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, saying that he died in an altercation inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul and that 18 people had been arrested in connection with the investigation. In a statement released on state television, the Saudi government said a senior intelligence official had been dismissed in connection with Khashoggi's death.
