Craig Kimbrel will not break his own single-season saves high of 50 with the Braves in 2013, but he has quietly sneaked up on the Red Sox franchise record for saves, held by Tom Gordon with 46 in 1998. It would be a reach for Kimbrel to catch Gordon this season, but he certainly has a good shot of finishing second depending on how much the Red Sox rely upon him in the final games of the campaign.
